Here are some pictures of my Piper Arrow project. Since I own an Arrow, I thought it best to start with this model. I hope to get FAA certification in the coming year. I have worked in the simulation industry for over 30 years and this is the perfect platform to market my capabilities. I do contract work for some of the major sim companies and I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities.
I've had some inquiries about some of the custom instruments I've developed for my Piper panel. Its quite simple. I only changed the hardware and faceplates using Paintbrush. Here are some pictures of the mods I did to the Piper hardware to accomodate the servos. Calibration was done with the normal SimKits software. They look and work great. I can supply the faceplate .jpg files if anyone is interested. Also included is the latest shot of the panel with the radio stack installed. Yes that is an actual working Bendix King KMD 150 stimulated with Pete Dawson's GPSOut software. It listens to NEMA sentences over a serial port. It was too easy to believe and is very accurate!!
When you order a TRC472 Flight Deck from Simkits, we directly start building your Simulator with the utmost care to ensure you get the highest quality. This also means your simulator has to be packed very carefully, so it will not get damaged during transport.
At this moment, we are very busy building several TRC472 Flight Decks. Here is a picture of some TRC 472 Flight Decks placed in our new warehouse, almost ready for shipment. They are shipped all over the world.
The 1st of January, TRC Simulators/Simkits moved to a brand new office. Now we have production, development, sales and warehousing all on the same premises. This means our lead time for orders went down from 15 business days to 5 to 10 business days.
