Before I had mounted the SimKits gauges in a real B727 panel, but now I have changed my cockpit [project to another aircraft.
My new sim is a real Beechcraft Queenair fuselage with an early Kingair A90 instrument panel and glareshield.
The yoke potentiometers and rudder potentiometer is fitted and working and all the engine and propeller controls are working too, so it's all "flyable" now.
I have a 6 speaker surround sound setup with the rear and middle speakers hidden behind the trim. Theres a temporary yoke from a PFC jet yoke unit bolted to the yoke tube on the Co pilots side, but I have 2 real Beechcraft yokes to fit.
The outside view is via a Mitsubishi projector and onto a screen 2 metres wide. I have 2 more Simkits instruments to fit, the ADF and Altimeter to the Captains side and then I will connect up the CCU, the plan is to network another lowish spec PC and use a second CCU for the Co pilots side .
A Hagstrom keyboard encoder will be used for any elements not supported by the CCU.
