This cockpit started 6 months ago, when I purchased a couple of goflight modules. From that I added gauges from Simkits and an xkeys keyboard encoder. As I wanted to drive gauges for a twin engine and led indicators I added a 32 Port interface module and 4 port servo module from Phidgets. Added some VB code and freefd and here it is, a general purpose simulator. The Phidgets and Freefd are driven on a second computer using FSUIPC. Now that the Simkits SDK has been released I've added code to drive the guages from Falcon 4. Upgraded the Thrustmaster FLCS to a Cougar. The top three screens are driven off a Matrox Parhelier on the main computer, the lower screen is driven by the second computer.
The primary programs I use are FS2004, Flanker 2.5 and Falcon 4 .
The photos show the progress of the Cockpit from the hunks of wood (just to see if it would really work:)), the building of the frame. the testing of the electronics, through to finally flying.
