I just recently purchased some simkit gauges USB alt., air spd.,heading ind., etc. aswell as a rpm gauge and looking for a manifold pressure if someone looking to sell thier's. My question I also have the 32-Digital Input USB controller and was wondering I have the real mag switch for L,R, Both and starter toggle complete with safty cover from a real beaver if using assignments in FSX buttons/keys if I could get these two to work using the controler. I found the PDF manual in support and trying to read wiring diagram just a wondering.

Thanks
Beaverpilot

SimKits Hardware - Digital Clock

I have been looking to fill the clock hole in my C172 panel, but just can't justify the cost for the Digital Clock.

I have a CCU2 so decided to try and use the C14 connector. Unfortunately there is little information on how this connector works.

I have managed to reverse engineer the interface with the aim of connecting an 2 line, 8 character LCD display and 3 push button switches.

The interface I have constructed uses a PIC16F88, a 4K7 resistor, a 100nF capacitor, plus the display and switches. It uses the functionality built in to the CCU2 and works exactly the same as the Simkits unit.

Simkits Software - multi controller and N1

I set up the multi controller to run two 737 N1 tachs and had them working great for a couple weeks and then I installed them in the sim. Now they will not respond to any jet in FSX. They do respond to some of the prop planes.

They do still respond in calibration.

I reduced the values to a really low setting, 1 through 10, which should cause the N1 needles to stay in the Max postion, but with any jet plane loaded they stay at zero. The rest of the 737 engine gauges, N2, EPR, Oil Press, etc, still work fine.

Is there something in FSx that can cause the N1 tachs to stop working?

The multi controller is on a 2nd pc networked to the main pc via WideFS.

can SimConnect affect them?

Thanks

Simkits Software - Goodbye to simkits ?!?

That is what I have done, the Win 7 pc runs FSX and the Vista32 pc runs wideFS and the multicontrollers.

curt wrote on 06/18/10 at 15:07:43:

Hi Jan,

There are two reasons why we switched to usb instruments a few years ago, the first reason is because Cypress stopped producing the chip used on the CCU.
The second reason is, all instruments now have their own controller, this way you can connect a lot more different instruments to your pc, and are not limited to the instruments that are supported by the CCU.

There is a way to still use your CCU instruments and also be able to take advantage of 64 bit systems, you can run your instruments on a 32bit system, and run Flightsim on a 64bit system.
You can connect the two systems using WideView ( http://www.wideview.it/wideview.htm )

I hope this will help you out a bit,

Cheers, Curt.
